The Old Stratford Community Hall, Old Stratford Community Hallsituated at the end of Deanshanger Road, was built and opened in 2000 and plays an essential role in supporting residents from Old Stratford and neighbouring villages.

The Community Hall is run by a committee of volunteers from the village with the day to day running of the Hall overseen by our manageress, Gerry Scovell.

We would like to extend our thanks to the Parish Council who kindly support our groups and community events with a generous yearly donation.

We are fortunate to have two halls, both of which are available to hire for any special events.  Full Catering FacilitiesWe have full catering facilities, a stage, bar, toilets, changing rooms, tables and chairs – whatever you need to make your event as special as it can be.

Many local groups run weekly activities for tiny tots up to senior citizens.  Please take a look at our list of regular activities and we are sure to have an activity for you – everybody is welcome to attend.

For children who will be progressing up to our village primary school, we have a wonderful pre-school which runs daily sessions throughout term-time and offers the ideal learning environment to prepare young children for the demands of school.   If you would like more information about the pre-school please have a look at their website at www.oldstratfordpreschoolplaygroup.co.uk

We also hold a number of annual events to bring our community together.   A fireworks display is organised for the nearest Saturday to 5th November where our groups can also do some much-needed fundraising.  Everyone is welcome and it is usually a very fun evening – even when the weather is against us!

Our senior citizens in the village are not forgotten either.

Christmas Lunch Layout Every year we prepare a four-course Christmas Lunch which is personally cooked and served by members of the Community Hall committee, pre-school staff and other volunteers from the village.

A group of young children from the Old Stratford Primary School Choir come along and sing carols and songs from their latest school production, which always brings a smile to our guests!

If you know of anyone who is new to the village and is over the age of 65, we would be delighted to welcome them to our Christmas Lunch and help them feel part of our community.
